Last Friday night, the Eagles defeated the eighth-seeded Mater Academy Charter Lions in a commanding effort to begin their run to the state championship. Atlantic dominated the game right away and continued to play at a high level all season long. Lincoln Graf added to the score running one in, but Teddy Hoffman was the star with three. As is customary, Atlantic's offensive was blazing.
The Eagles won thanks in large part to special teams as well. Tavius Horne returned a kickoff for a touchdown. With a number of crucial plays, the defense added to the overall dominance, which was equally spectacular. With a team-high three sacks during the game, Jabari Henry spearheaded the defense. The Eagles' versatility was demonstrated by their well-rounded performance.
Looking ahead, Atlantic will play the Miramar Patriots, who defeated Heritage 32–10. Broward County and Palm Beach County will square off in this upcoming game, which is sure to be an entertaining matchup that may surprise a lot of people. The Eagles will need to give it their all to win another game and maintain their aspirations of winning the championship because both teams are coming off of dominating wins.
